Women in Law Section Curriculum

The Women in Law Section is a dynamic group of attorneys – both women and men – and serves as a critical voice for professional women. Our mission is to advance women in the legal profession and all women under the law. Membership in our Section offers many opportunities to address the professional, legal, policy and legislative issues impacting women.

Women on the Move Programs

Women on the Move 2019 | Women Charting a New Course | 3.5 MCLE Credits
Because there are still obstacles to shattering the glass ceiling, this program will address the ways women attorneys have made changes – in our mindset, in our careers and in the law – in order to overcome challenges we have faced as women attorneys, along with a frank discussion of challenges we still face and what we can do to move forward.

Women on the Move 2018 | Attorney as Advocate - for Our Clients, Our Communities and Ourselves | 4.0 MCLE Credits
This year’s program is Attorney as Advocate – for Our Clients, Our Communities and Ourselves will feature a keynote address by Karen Cheeks-Lomax, Esq.

Women on the Move 2017 | Managing Difficult Conversations | 4.0 MCLE Credits
This program provides information and strategies on how to effectively communicate and overcome hurdles female attorneys may face in their career. 

Women on the Move 2016 | Exposure, Evidence and Ethics--Social Media’s 21st Century Role in Lawyering | 3.0 MCLE Credits 
This program has experts teaching how to use the internet as a platform and a resource for your practice in an effective and ethical way as well as discussing cutting edge issues and challenges presented with the Internet.
