With more
than 4,300 members and more than a dozen substantive law committees, the
Section presents outstanding CLE programs to benefit its members,
and supports programs and initiatives to engage law students and newly-admitted
attorneys in the work of the Section, the Association and the profession. The section holds a full day of MCLE programming during NYSBA's Annual Meeting each January in Midtown Manhattan, and hosts a summer meeting at various destinations in the Northeast. Many Section Committees hold MCLE Committee meetings, and the Section coordinates networking events in various judicial districts throughout the year. By
partnering with law schools throughout New York State, the Section has
established a successful Student Internship Program, and two $2,500 scholarships are granted to law school students annually. The Section continually
monitors and studies pending legislation that may have an impact on real
property law, practitioners and their clients, to advocate for or develop
legislative improvements.
