Mission statement:

The Trade Committee’s mission is to provide a platform for members to stay current and educate themselves on the issues that affect their practice in international trade.  To that end, we strive to provide timely substantive programming and a collegial atmosphere where ideas can be exchanged and dialogue encouraged in an effort to help our members stay at the forefront of legal developments in US trade law.  As required, the Trade Committee will provide input to the Executive Committee and the overall NYSBA on international trade legal issues that would affect the membership and their clients. The substantive focus for the Trade Committee includes US case law, statutes and regulations, as well as Treaties and Executive Agreements, affecting imports and exports.
