HERMES FERNANDEZ

HEALTH LAW SECTION

Hermes Fernandez is a charter member of the Health Law Section, and a member of the predecessor Health Law Committee. He is honored that his peers have elected him to the Chair of the HLS. 

Fernandez is a member of Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, and co-Chair of Bond’s Health Law Section.  Over his career, Hermes has represented just about all levels of health care providers. Today, he spends much of his time on the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program, fraud and abuse, and providers of services to the developmentally disabled.  Earlier in his career, Hermes served as Assistant Counsel to Governor Mario Cuomo. He played key roles in the enactment of the State’s first prohibitions on indoor smoking, and AIDS Confidentiality Act.  

Fernandez also has served as NYSBA Vice-President of the 3rd Judicial District.
