Mediation Committee
Description: The Mediation Committee works
to educate
elder law and special needs attorneys about mediation, its benefits and
enhancement to their practices, and their role in mediation as an advocate for
their clients. Our Committee strives to
to educate the consumer about mediation and its benefits in resolution of elder
care, estate contests and special needs contests, prior to or during a court
proceeding, and hopes to implement a state-wide local judicial initiative
introducing mediation in contested probate and guardianship proceedings under
MHL Article 81, SCPA 17 and SCPA 17A.
