Program Description
The Trusts and Estates Law Section and
Committee on Continuing Legal Education are pleased to present this half-day
program that will qualify you for an appointment as a guardian ad litem in
Surrogate’s Court or other court. Learn the substantive rules and law of Part 36
of the Rules of the Chief Judge (22 NYCRR Part 36) governing court appointment
of fiduciaries, important ethical considerations, and the procedural aspects of
serving as a guardian ad litem as well as the substantive role of a guardian ad
litem in various proceedings. The program faculty includes
experienced trusts and estates practitioners and Surrogate’s Court
personnel.
