The Sports Law Committee’s mission is to identify,
inform and educate the members of the Committee and other interested parties on
legal issues facing the sports industry and how those legal issues impact the
business of sports; to provide networking and outreach opportunities for members
and professionals in the sports industry; and to provide education, career
guidance, support and mentoring to law students interested in the field of
sports law.
In order to accomplish these goals, the Sports Law
Committee offers speaker and panel presentations on a broad spectrum of topics
relating to sports law and the sports industry, provides CLE opportunities for
members in various areas of law related to sports; and sets up a variety of
networking events for members.
The Sports Law Committee also takes every opportunity
to work collaboratively with other committees in EASL and will seek
participation by professionals in the sports industry and related fields.
