Program Description
This program will present legal issues and practical considerations involving contractual disputes and construction and surety law—including understanding critical provisions in construction contracts and surety bonds, claims and defenses in construction disputes, dispute resolution, as well as a primer in mechanic's liens, trust funds and new home building and home improvement contracts. Issues will be discussed from the perspective of general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, public and private owners and sureties. A seasoned panel of speakers will present basic skills, while also delving into more complex issues and strategic considerations. This program is designed to benefit practitioners of all levels of experience. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain knowledge and insights on a wide spectrum of contractual issues in construction and surety law.

Partial Credit for Program Segments Not
Allowed: Under the New York State Continuing
Legal Education Board Regulations and Guidelines, attendees at CLE programs
cannot get MCLE credit for a program segment (typically, a lecture or panel, of
which there are usually several in a program) unless they are present for the
entire segment. Those who arrive late, depart early, or are absent for any
portion of the program WILL NOT receive credit for that program segment.
