The Antitrust Litigation Committee is comprised of Section members interested in federal and state antitrust and competition issues. The Committee meets monthly during the course of the year to monitor and discuss antitrust developments generally, as well as to pursue projects undertaken by its members, such as organizing continuing legal education seminars and preparing reports and topical articles. The Committee has presented a CLE program entitled “Kumho Tire and Experts on Damages: How to Introduce Expert Evidence Under the New Federal Standards.” The Committee also presented a panel on "Developments in Antitrust Litigation" and prepared related papers at the Section's 2005 spring meeting. The Committee's recent report, "Trinko and Beyond," covering developments in the aftermath of the Supreme Court's decision in Verizon Communications, Inc. v. Law Offices of Curtis V. Trinko, 540 U.S. 398 (2004), was published in a recent issue of the NYLitigator (Winter 2007). A prior report, entitled "The State of State Antitrust Enforcement," was published in an earlier issue of the NYLitigator. The Committee further recently released a report of four Supreme Court rulings during the Court's 2006-2007 term, which is also expected to appear in print.
